Empowering Education through Innovation: Our Partnership with Moravia Consulting

At the African Virtual Bridging School (AVBS), we are proud to partner with Moravia Consulting to bring world-class educational technology to learners across Africa. Through this collaboration, we offer access to interactive tools such as HP Otto and Cubetto, designed to make learning engaging, hands-on, and future-focused.
These innovative products support our mission to equip African children and youth with essential skills for the digital age. With lessons, teaching resources, and online support available through our partners, educators can confidently integrate these tools into their classrooms.

Our Partnership with Moravia Consulting

Advancing Digital Education Across Africa

At AVBS, we empower disadvantaged youth and young women across Africa through sustainable, skills-based education. Through our partnership with Moravia Consulting, we’re introducing leading international educational technologies that align with our mission to equip learners with future-ready skills in STEAM, ICT, and beyond.

By integrating innovative tools like HP Otto, Cubetto, and (coming soon) Robo Wunderkind into our learning programs, we create inclusive, hands-on learning environments that nurture digital literacy, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving. These technologies not only support teachers and learners in the classroom—but also help open pathways to meaningful careers and lifelong learning.

HP Otto

Open-Source Robotics for Real-World Learning

HP Otto is a programmable humanoid robot designed to make technology education engaging and accessible. It introduces learners to core concepts in robotics, coding, and electronics while encouraging hands-on experimentation and creativity.

Interactive Learning Through Play
Students can program Otto to walk, dance, avoid obstacles, and respond to their environment. It supports block-based coding (via Otto Blockly) for beginners, as well as Arduino C/C++ for more advanced users—helping learners see real-time results from their code and gain confidence in computational thinking.
Modular and Expandable
With its open-source design and 3D-printable components, Otto allows for endless customization. Students can expand its abilities by adding sensors, modifying hardware, or creating new extensions—building real engineering skills in the process.
Building Skills for the Future
As learners interact with Otto, they develop vital 21st-century skills including:
 • Problem-solving and creativity
 • Communication and collaboration
 • Leadership and initiative
 • Media and technology literacy
HP Otto is more than a robot—it's a gateway to STEAM and ICT careers, especially for underserved learners across Africa.

Cubetto

Hands-On Coding for Young Learners — No Screens Required

Cubetto is a tactile, child-friendly robot designed to introduce early learners (ages 3–8) to the world of coding and computational thinking through interactive play. By guiding Cubetto on adventures using physical blocks, children build foundational STEAM and ICT skills in a joyful, screen-free way.

Learn by Playing
Using colored coding blocks, children create sequences of instructions that Cubetto follows. Each block represents a command:
• Green: Forward
• Yellow: Turn Left
• Red: Turn Right
• Blue: Function
• Additional Blocks: Backward, Negation, Random
This hands-on method helps children understand cause and effect, sequencing, and logical reasoning—all key computational skills.
Maps & Storybooks
Cubetto comes with beautifully illustrated maps and storybooks that guide learners through imaginative missions. These resources integrate storytelling and coding, fostering both literacy and problem-solving skills.
A Classroom-Ready Coding Tool
Cubetto is perfect for schools looking to build digital literacy from the ground up. It’s designed for teachers of all experience levels, and supports a wide range of learning styles. Cubetto’s inclusive, cross-curricular approach makes it ideal for:
Early childhood classrooms
Coding clubs and play-based learning environments
Learners with diverse needs and backgrounds
Cubetto isn't just a toy—it’s an educational bridge to future careers in technology and innovation.

Robo Wunderkind (Coming Soon!)

Modular Robotics That Spark Creativity and Innovation

Robo Wunderkind is a modular, app-enabled robotics kit designed to make coding and engineering accessible, intuitive, and fun for children. By combining colorful, magnetic blocks with powerful sensors and motors, Robo Wunderkind allows learners to build their own smart robots and code them using drag-and-drop or text-based programming—helping students bring their ideas to life through hands-on invention.

Build, Play, and Learn

Each Robo Wunderkind kit contains interchangeable modules—like wheels, lights, sensors, and speakers—that snap together with ease. Students can build anything from a simple vehicle to an interactive robot pet, all while developing core competencies in:

• Logical reasoning• Systems thinking• Cause and effect• Creative problem-solving

It’s robotics made approachable, playful, and deeply educational.

From Beginner to Advanced

Robo Wunderkind grows with the learner. Beginners use a visual, block-based coding app to animate their creations, while more advanced students can progress to coding in Scratch or even Python. This adaptability makes it ideal for both primary and intermediate-level education.

Future-Ready STEAM Learning

Aligned with AVBS’s mission to prepare disadvantaged children and young women for success in the digital world, Robo Wunderkind provides a gateway to ICT and STEAM careers. It encourages exploration, experimentation, and creativity—laying the groundwork for confident, future-ready learners.

Launching Soon Across Africa!

We’re excited to introduce Robo Wunderkind into our programs and partner schools. Stay tuned for updates, training opportunities, and pilot program details.
