AFRICAN VIRTUAL BRIDGING SCHOOL

Our aim is to ensure sustainable education for disadvantaged children, youths and young women from all African countries, while focusing on professions and study fields which support the 17 sustainable development Goals of the United Nations. At the AVBS we focus on each person’s innate competences and abilities, through Exprobico’s competence checks. Regardless of your educational path, each person acquires skills and talents along the way and you will be made aware of your potential and what will need to be supported, with the right education or professions and vocational training, to ensure successful transitions. Our areas of focus are to expose students to mainstream areas of knowledge transfer BUT also to areas which will differ from classic institutions, like mining and agricultural sustainability. To highlight the cultural and professional requirements of each African country and their respective needs. To motivate young girls and women to enter STEAM and ICT professions or fields of study and to provide self-awareness and upskilling for women in leadership positions. We also focus on leadership development aimed at promoting more women in decision making roles & developing future women leaders as well as poverty eradication through sustainable education and development for disadvantaged youth and women.

WORK ORIENTATION WORKSHOPS

Workshops are conducted to expose and orientate youth to areas of self-discovery, appropriate fields of study and the world of work. Pupils from schools throughout Africa will attend online presentations and complete exercises as part of interactive workshops, which focus on their competences and mainstream areas of knowledge transfer. The current programme exposes Grade 8 to 12 girl and boy learners to workshops, conducted by professionals in their various career fields, explaining the varied career and study opportunities and choices available to them.

Our Values

Before everything, we value in giving African youth and women the support to compete in the present career scheme, create opportunities and bring out future-thinking and future-oriented mindsets.
We share our passion for sharing knowledge to bridge the gap between the status quo and the next career level in a sustainable professional career path. We are dedicated to bring change under the following orientations.
  • Provide continuous support and training to young students, particularly the youth and girls.
  • Create opportunities of sustainable and diverse education for children and kids in different living situations (orphanages, children subject to Gender Based Violence).
  • Support the youth and women to find the competence based career path at the point of need in education.
